EASY WAY TO MAKE YOUR OWN SHIRT PATTERN

Making your own clothes is not as difficult as knitting. How come it works? Yes, because we have to knit the types of puncture, at least 3 basic stitches are chain stitch, single stitch and half double stitch / double stitch. While making clothes does not need special skills in sewing, let alone all courses.

I am one of those who seldom buy clothes, unless forced. Because besides being hard to find the right size, it also often doesn't match the color and model. So if you already buy clothes, there will be something that changes, is cut and sew manufacturers thrown away or added to the house, even if it's only lace. Finally looking for a picture of a clothes model and then handed over to the tailor to make it with fabric and color according to taste.

Eventually I thought about making my own clothes. Because not all tailors understand the fashion model now and can make it. Especially the old tailor. If a tailor who is young, especially clever in making a model, it might not be difficult to imitate the model of clothes that I propose.

The first step to making clothes is determining patterns. Lots of tutorials / guides create patterns for beginners in the form of both print media (books) and online media. Because I am lazy to make patterns that use size like tailors in general (because I can't sew), so I use the easiest method (in my opinion) that is copying existing clothes, hehehe

Materials and tools for making your own clothes pattern:
- Clothes made according to size and model
- Fabrics to be made for clothes
- Used cartons / newspapers
- Scissors
- Pens / markers
- Fabric
chalks - Needles and sewing thread
- Needle needles (if needed )

Easy way to make your own clothes pattern:
Step 1: Fold clothes into 2 equal parts (half the body).
Use the back, because the rear size is wider than the front to make just one pattern.

Step 2: Trace the old cardboard / newspaper, then mark it with a pen / marker.
If you are worried about changing your clothes / carton, pin the pin needles or step on your feet😀

Step 3: Cut used cartons / newspapers according to markers.

Step 4: Make a hand pattern, cover the head (if any) and the other in the same way.

Step 5: After the pattern is finished, prepare a fabric that will be made into a shirt and spread it out.

Step 6: Trace the fabric that will be made of clothes exceeding the size of the pattern for sewing folds or connecting with other patterns.

Step 7: If all the patterns are ready, start connecting one by one with straight stitches (I use hand sewing).

Step 8: Just bring it to the tailor to be sewn back so that the stitches are strong and neat (again because I don't have a sewing machine and can't sew

Homemade clothes are ready for use. How about it cheap, right, instead of making tailors from the beginning, let alone buy ready-made clothes! Plus the pattern has its own again. At any time if you want to make clothes just traced, hehe
Good luck and hopefully useful!

I include a guide to making clothes patterns that are used by tailors in general.
The size needed is:
1. Circle the body = measure around the body under the armpit past the top of the chest
2. Waist circumference = measure around the waist
3. Hip circumference = measure around the largest hip
4. Shoulder width = measure from the tip of the right shoulder to the tip left shoulder
5. Length of shirt = measure the length of the shirt from the tip of the shoulder near the neck to the bottom as desired
6. Length of arm = measure from the tip of the shoulder to the limit of the arm you want
7. Height of the back = measure from the nape to the waist

The general size for back height is:
- For a small size of 38 cm
- For a large size of 40 cm
