Poster usually widely seen, on the walls of the announcement. Do you know what is a poster?

Poster comes from the word 'to post' in English means sticking. In short, posters are news (information) that are pasted and can be viewed from a certain distance.

Poster is one of print mass media. According to Robin Landa in Graphic Design Solutions , poster is a two-dimensional publication that is used to present information or promote people, products, places, companies, services, events, or organizations.

Posters contain information to read in public places, where readers are moving. Therefore, posters should be able to grab the public's attention. In addition, a good poster is one that can give readers easy information to understand within seconds. So, the poster should be able to persuade the reader through a short and clear message.

Posters that attract the attention of readers generally have an interesting dominant element. Posters are always created with a blend of creativity. It's like a big, weird picture in the center of a poster or a large piece of writing as a thread Acrylic Poster holder.

Generally, posters contain only the most important and readable information. However, on the edges of the roads are usually often seen posters that are difficult to read, so people are lazy to see. Effective posters generally have the following criteria: being able to attract audiences, be able to convince, influence, and shape opinions, using impressive colors, and of course simple designs.

Lori Siebert and Lisa Ballard in the book Making A Good Layout put forward a good poster design guidelines, including:

1. The font size for the poster should be large, so it is easy to read from the estimated distance, about four to six meters.

2. Poster layout should be simple, so as not to confuse the reader. Thus, readers can easily absorb information or messages delivered.

3. There is one element that is dominant or highlighted. Whether it's from the title or the illustrations are 'wow'.

4. Letters and visual elements are arranged in logical order, from left to right and from top to bottom.

5. Letters should be colored in contrast to the background or illustration, so it is easy to read.
